This is a very easy tutorial, but it is not for BEGINNERS.
I have assumed that you already know the basics of Paint Shop Pro. To complete this tutorial you will need: Paint Shop Pro |
| We are going to make 2 different tiles. The only differences in the technique, are in the first 2 steps. | TILE 1 | TILE 2 |
Open a new image 200 x 200. Tile 1 - Flood-fill with a gradient, Angle 315, Repeats 5. Tile 2 - Flood-fill with white, and then apply any BladePro or SuperBladePro effect. The preset I used is bluegreen.q5q, and you can download it from the link at the top of this tutorial, if you would like to use it. |
Selections - Select All Selections - Modify - Contract 15 Tile 1 - Flood-fill with a solid color. Tile 2 - Paste a picture into the selection. |
De-Select Apply Eye Candy 3.1 Swirl - settings = Typical If you are using Eye Candy 4000 - Swirl - settings = Large Whirlpools |
| Apply Simple Filters - Diamonds, 3 times. |
| Effects - Geometric Effects - Wave - default settings |
| Apply Simple Filters - Pizza Slice Mirror. |
The tiles look fine, as they are, but if you would like a smaller pattern for your background, Image - Resize - 50% (Resize all layers and Maintain Aspect Ratio both CHECKED) Your new tile should be 100 x 100 |
This is optional, but I think both of these tiles look a little better embossed. Apply FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - default settings |
OK, that's it. You're on your own now. Go play. Have fun. |
